Good to Know

How many sessions?

Many patients receive their best visible improvement from a series of three treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart.

Downtime

PRP, AnteAGE Exosome, Ariessence PDGF, and Rejuran PDRN microneedling typically involve 24–72 hours of redness, sensitivity, or mild swelling. Dryness or light flaking may last several additional days.

All skin tones welcome

Treatment settings and aftercare are customized for Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Consistent sun protection is essential, particularly for patients prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between PRP, AnteAGE Exosomes, PDGF, and PDRN?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is created from a small sample of your own blood and contains concentrated platelets and naturally occurring growth factors. It is used alongside microneedling to support your body’s natural healing response and collagen production. PRP is a great choice for overall skin rejuvenation, texture, and acne scarring.

AnteAGE Exosomes are a topical regenerative serum used with microneedling. They contain signaling molecules designed to support skin recovery and rejuvenation. This option is ideal for clients focused on improving overall skin quality, texture, and post-treatment recovery.

PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor) is a bioengineered growth factor that plays a role in cellular signaling and tissue repair. At The Haus of Aesthetiks, we use Ariessence with PDGF microneedling. When paired with microneedling, it is used to support skin rejuvenation and collagen remodeling. PDGF may be a good choice for clients focused on more advanced concerns such as visible texture, acne scarring, and signs of aging.

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) consists of purified DNA fragments used to support skin repair and regeneration. At The Haus of Aesthetiks, we use Rejuran with PDRN microneedling. It is commonly chosen for clients focused on hydration, skin quality, elasticity, and a healthier-looking complexion.

There isn’t one option that’s best for everyone. During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your skin, concerns, treatment history, and goals to recommend the most appropriate option for you.

How long is recovery?

Downtime is generally similar across PRP, AnteAGE Exosome, Ariessence PDGF, and Rejuran PDRN microneedling. Redness, sensitivity, and mild swelling typically improve within 24–72 hours. Dryness, roughness, or light flaking may continue for several additional days.

When can I wear makeup or work out?

Avoid makeup, exercise, sweating, saunas, and heat exposure for the first 24 hours. After 24 hours, makeup may be applied only if the skin is calm, intact, and no longer significantly irritated. Use clean brushes or applicators and avoid heavy or fragranced products.

Is microneedling appropriate for darker skin tones?

Microneedling may be appropriate for Fitzpatrick skin types IV–VI when performed using individualized settings and careful aftercare. A consultation is required to evaluate your skin, pigmentation risk, health history, and goals.

What ingredients should I avoid after treatment?

Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, benzoyl peroxide, strong vitamin C products, brighteners, and other irritating active ingredients until the skin has fully recovered. Many actives are held for approximately 5–7 days, but your practitioner may provide different instructions based on your treatment and skin condition.

Am I guaranteed to see results?

Individual results vary. Your response may depend on your skin condition, age, medical history, home-care routine, sun exposure, treatment consistency, and the number of sessions completed.

The information on this page is educational and does not replace an in-person medical evaluation. Treatment eligibility, expected outcomes, risks, and aftercare will be reviewed during your consultation.
